Green Smoothie
I know green smoothies are all over the internet but I wanted to share my basic green smoothie that we have quite often in our house.
If you have never tried a green smoothie you really should give it a try. I promise that you can’t even taste the greens! My kids drink this smoothie up and ask for seconds!
You can use any type of green in this smoothie, chard, kale, spinach, etc. Spinach is the most mild so I would start with that if you aren’t used to green smoothies.
This is a great way to get some fruit and veggie servings in your kids without begging them to eat!
Ingredients
- 1 1 /2 cups water or non-dairy milk
- 2 bananas
- 1 apple, cored and quartered
- 1 large orange or 2 small oranges, peeled and quartered
- 2 Tbs flax seed or chia seed
- 1 large handful fresh baby spinach
- a handful of ice cubes
Instructions
- Place everything in your blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy!
