What I Ate Wednesday 1/16/13

I will admit to being a bit distracted as I’m writing this post.  We are watching Downton Abbey on DVR.  So, I hope you will forgive me if I make this post a bit brief :)

Today’s activities included the usual laundry and general housekeeping.  G and Little Man and I played “horse play” with little play horses.  There was a quick trip to the store and baking chocolate chip cookies.  I also fit in a run on the treadmill while Little Man was napping.  A full day!

Here’s what I ate throughout the day (clockwise from top left):

Dinner:  Thai Fried Quinoa (recipe will be up next week but based on this recipe)

Breakfast is unpictured but was the usual oatmeal but with raspberries

Morning Snack: Coconut Raisin Walnut Cookies

Lunch:  Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Butternut Squash, Frichik

Snack: Post Run Smoothie with Soymilk, Almond Butter, Banana, Spinach, and Chocolate Superfood Powder

After Dinner Snack: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie (I made some changes to this recipe)

  1. Love this! I’m taking pics today to then post. It really does help hold me accountable when I do posts like this. Making myself take pics of everything I eat makes me stop and think about each choice. :)

  2. Your smoothie sounds so yummy! Lately, I’ve been adding so much to mine, it’s starting to taste healthy. I need to make some healthy ones that taste like a treat again. :)

    • It’s a fine balance with the kids. Too healthy tasting and they catch on :)

  3. PS ~ I’m pretty sure I am the only living human being who has not seen Downtown Abbey! :-)
