Randomness, Menu Plan, and Some Color
With kids you just never know what each day will hold. You never know what strange things you might find in strange places. My 1 year old was up early this morning, around 6:30 just as I was getting ready to head out the door for my run. He hasn’t been feeling well the past couple days so rather than wake up hubby and let him take care of Little Man, I postponed my run and went to rescue Little Man. He seemed to be feeling better this morning but still a little clingy so we hung out. He played on the floor a bit while I scrounged up some breakfast and unloaded the dishwasher. Of course he came over to investigate the dishwasher as he often does.
I strapped him into his highchair with some cereal and a banana. Soon, Lilly my 5 year old was up. After breakfast she wanted to watch a show on TV per her usual custom. One minor problem. The remote was no where to be found. I remembered seeing Little Man walking around with it earlier so I knew it was around somewhere. We looked everywhere. Under furniture, in the fireplace, in the toy basket. We found random toys and some popcorn but no remote. I turned on the TV the old fashioned way, knowing the remote would turn up. And it did. In the silverware basket of the dishwasher. Thankfully I discovered it before running the dishwasher!
I’m a little late on my menu plan for the week but wanted to let you know what we would be eating this week.
Sunday: We had Falafel Stuffed Eggplant. It was excellent!
Monday: Stuffed Poblano Peppers (A variation of Bev’s recipe)
Tuesday: Tempeh Greek Salad Wraps
Wednesday: Pad See Ew with Tofu and Kale Dumplings from the freezer
Thursday: Not sure yet. Hubby won’t be home for dinner so it will be kids choice which probably means pancakes.
Friday: Homemade pizza.
Saturday: dinner with friends
And now I will leave you with a photo of me post Color Run from Sunday. I was up at 5:45 on Sunday morning to get ready to run 3 miles while having dyed powder through all over me. And had a blast!
